My favorite piece I've ever listed on the site! Aya Takano is a renowned Japanese artist known for her manga and superflat artwork that tends to depict surreal and dream-like scenery and characters. For Issey Miyake's Autumn/Winter 2004 collection, he collaborated with Takano on a range of pieces that displayed her artwork, including this mesh longsleeve top. The collection has since become pretty legendary, and the Miyake x Takano pieces have become increasingly hard to come by. Wearable art.
