Description
This vintage bootleg tee is a spoof on the infamous "God Save the Queen" Vivienne Westwood "Seditionaries" shirts made for the Sex Pistols. In 1977, English punk-rock band Sex Pistols released their iconic anti-establishment single "God Save the Queen" which would later be recognized as one of the most important songs of the 70s. At the same time, English designer Vivienne Westwood produced t-shirts for the band featuring a defaced portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and lyrics of the song (go to last slide for reference). This bootleg tee mimics the classic Seditionaries tee but instead features a portrait of Cap'n Crunch, the cartoon cereal mascot. This one-of-a-kind print is personally one of the coolest shirts I've seen.
